Chris is a founding member and songwriter for the band. During the day you will find him working as an audio production engineer. He has been into music from a very young age. Growing up he was involved in various church choirs, but found the saxophone when entering junior high. The guitar came along later in high school, but he never took lessons. “I just learned from all the people I played with. My brother’s dad taught me my first chords and even gave me my first acoustic guitar, which I still have.” He met Tracy (Guitar, Vocals, Songwriter) in 1997 while attending Appalachian State University. “I started out borrowing music from Tracy and then I dragged him into being my co-host on my college radio show”. They have been playing together in one form or another since. When asked about his musical style “I think my writing really varies depending on my mood. One day you might get a funny story song and the next will be about the interesting people that you meet while touring the underbelly of the city”.
